Magic, Music, Dragons, and Dinosaurs!

“It’s an extraordinary thing to be able to do something you’re truly passionate about…something that connects with children, asks them to come along for a wild ride and then actually teaches them something in the process.”  (Mr. Mike)

The Children’s Stage is located at the corner of Howard Avenue and Fawcett Street, in front of the Tea Room.

“Mr. Mike” Sgrignoli

Children’s author, “Mr. Mike” Sgrignoli is the author of three volumes of Dinorific Poetry.  The books are stuffed with what he calls “fact-packed dino rhymes” that seek to highlight those ancient beasts that have somehow managed to avoid the spotlight that frequently shines upon the T-rex and Stegosaurus.  In addition to his dinosaur stories, he hosts a dinosaur game show, sings and plays percussion in a dino music band and is proud to host the Children’s Stage for this year’s Kensington Day of the Book Festival.
